Biography

Joel Hirschtritt is a founding partner of Tannenbaum Helpern. An experienced real estate attorney, Joel has counseled a broad array of clients from notable individuals, family offices, entrepreneurs, private and public businesses and boards of condominiums and cooperatives. With good judgement, adept negotiation skills, broad business experience, he has successfully negotiated complex transactions and guided clients through real estate dealings, employment contracts, estate planning and litigation.

Having clerked for a Federal Court Judge, Joel understands litigation and know how and when it is appropriate to use it. He works closely with Tannenbaum Helpern’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice and is frequently responsible for litigation strategy and successful settlements. Joel has been selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers® for the New York Metro Area in 2007, 2008, and from 2010 to 2024, and maintains an AV Pre-eminent Rating from Martindale Hubbell.

Joel has served on the Board of several not-for-profit entities and is active in several philanthropies. He was President of a prominent cooperative in which he and his family reside.
