New York, NY, December 7, 2020—Tannenbaum Helpern welcomes Jordan S. Linn as partner in the firm’s Trusts & Estates practice. An experienced trusts & estates attorney, Jordan brings more than 20 years of sophisticated legal counsel to business owners, real estate families and other high net-worth individuals.
“Jordan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in helping individuals and families achieve peace of mind in protecting their assets for the next generation through the structuring and execution of complex estate, gift and generation-skipping tax planning techniques,” says Yolanda Kanes, chair of Tannenbaum Helpern’s Trusts & Estates practice. “We’re thrilled to have Jordan join our growing T&E practice.”
Jordan’s experience extends to sophisticated planning techniques including trust agreements such as GRATs (grantor retained annuity trusts), QPRTs (qualified personal residence trusts), IDGTs (intentionally defective grantor trust transactions), SLATs (spousal lifetime access trusts), ILITs (irrevocable life insurance trusts), dynasty and generation skipping transfer tax trusts, and others. He is also skilled in all matters relating to probate and administration of estates and trusts. Jordan is well-versed in forming and representing private foundations and public charities. He has represented clients involved in audits and tax court proceedings relating to their estate.
A frequent lecturer on trusts and estates topics, Jordan regularly participates in continuing education programs for attorneys, accountants and financial professionals, and has served as an adjunct professor at LIU Post and CUNY Queens College. He has been recognized in Super Lawyers New York Metro 2020 for estate planning and probate.
