Biography
Carl Regelmann is a partner in Tannenbaum Helpern’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. A litigator and trained commercial mediator, Carl advises on complex commercial litigation and has experience in all aspects of business-related litigation, arbitration, mediation and appellate practice including real estate, corporate dissolutions, derivative actions, construction, attorney malpractice, board of manager disputes, restrictive covenants and non-compete agreements, and partnership disputes.
He has represented clients in litigation in New York state and federal courts including international financial institutions, real estate developers and landlords, apartment co-op boards, food and beverage companies, and retail manufacturers. Prior to joining Tannenbaum Helpern, Carl was the Principal Law Clerk to New York State Supreme Court Commercial Division Justice Carolyn E. Demarest for over eight years.
Carl graduated cum laude from Cornell University and earned his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. Carl has been selected to Super Lawyers® for the New York Metro Area since 2021 and was recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers® for the same region from 2016-2020. He previously served as the Secretary and as a member of the New York City Bar Association’s Council on Judicial Administration. Carl is a contributing author and editor to the monthly Attorney Professionalism Forum in the NYSBA Journal.
