Biography
John Walpole is an associate in Tannenbaum Helpern’s Employment Law practice where he focuses on employment litigation and counseling.
Prior to joining the firm, John served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the Labor & Employment Law Division of the New York City Law Department. As an Assistant Corporation Counsel, he defended the City of New York, its agencies, and employees before federal and state courts and administrative agencies. John litigated over fifty cases from inception to resolution while serving as lead attorney. He handled all phases of litigation, including drafting dispositive and non-dispositive motions, as well as taking and defending depositions, and managing discovery. John’s experience also includes acting as defense counsel during a multi-day New York State Supreme Court hearing, litigating matters involving the New York City COVID-19 vaccine mandate, and successfully mediating complex employment actions.
John graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution.
